FRIENDLY SERVICE AND EXCELLENT CUISINE.

Food very good. The red cabbage is particularly recommended, very tasty. Service very nice. Sitting outside, despite being close to the road, is okay.

Always super tasty, always super friendly. Probably the best place to go for home-style cooking, even beyond the Orber radius.

The restaurant is conveniently located in the center of Bad Orb. Due to Corona, there was a very good separation between the tables by partition walls. 👍👍 The reservation of three places at 12 o'clock worked perfectly. We would like to thank you once again for this. The staff is friendly. The ordered dishes were served within a very short time. The quality of the food was very good. The price-performance ratio is okay. We can highly recommend the Alte Schmiede.

The food and the service are really great. Have been there 3 times during our vacation. Would have liked to go there more often, but the old smithy had closed due to the vacation, which they deserved

It's perfectly alright. Salad could be better.

Good home cooking in the forge. Outside, a cozy little beer garden in a quiet environment. And the "Schmiedepfanne" was not only extremely tasty, but also huge. The fried potatoes like in the past with nuts, mhhhh ... And where can you still find beetroot in salads today? But a 1+ if you use traditional cuisine as a basis. And in terms of price, it is still very much in the green area. Definitely visit again when in the area.

Table reservation worked. Both outside and inside, it was agreed. Spontaneously decided to go inside, which was not possible after all. Then "You can go too". We did too. No further comment necessary. Never again. We can also spend our money elsewhere !! :( P. S. We only gave one star because otherwise no rating would be possible.

Found this restaurant tucked away on a side street, wow, what a find! Excellent service and the food was first class! Hirschgulasch (deer) was amazing, so tender and tasty, served with dumplings and cooked red cabbage. Would have taken a photo, but was too hungry! Definitely worth walking off the beaten path!

Just right if you want to be really full in a family environment. Really nice little charming restaurant. The food was good and plentiful. The price-performance leaves nothing to be desired. During the week there is warm food until 8.30 p.m. The condition made a friendly and attentive impression.

It was actually quite good. The price is right. The food tastes good. But the potato dumplings are ready-made. The sauces also modified, albeit minimally. As already described it tastes good we will be back.

A small but fine restaurant, we loved the food. The portions I would call gigantic. The service is also great!
